Acupressure
Duties and
responsibilities:
Oriental medicine practitioners use forms of acupuncture and treatment through
the Chinese concept of “qi” which means energy. Oriental medicine treats a
variety of ailments including headaches, back pain, and arthritis, or other
illnesses by identifying patterns of imbalance within a body’s energy levels
and working to readjust fluids or
tissues in order to keep the body in balance and relieve pain. They usually
massage your back to release the stress and release the pain and can put back
the tissues back to place.
Salary: The average salary is $61,000 per year
Education: A minimum, applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED certification to become an acupressure professional. The most common option for candidates to learn the art of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a 1 year certification program, with associates and degree programs another option
Reflection: I wouldn’t like to be an acupressure because
you have to touch a strangers body.
