Electrician

Duties and responsibilities: They assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. They also advise management in whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous and they test the electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Salary: $90,960 a year

Education: They’re training go through an apprenticeship programs. Some electricians may begin in classroom-based vocational program serving as an electrician’s helper. They’ll have to go through a 4 year program allows apprentices to become journeyman and work on construction and repair projects.



Reflection: I would like to be an electrician to see how electricity goes around and how to fix cables when the lights are out or when there’s an emergency. Also you get to go around places to install and don’t have to stay in one place all the time.
