Yoga therapist
Duties and responsibilities:
The increasing popularity
of yoga, the mounting scientific evidence for the therapeutic benefits of yoga
practice, the aging of the baby boomers into the decades in which chronic
diseases become common, and the public’s continuing desire to find safe and
effective adjudicative adjuncts and alternatives to conventional medical care all
bode well for the growth of yoga as medicine.
Salary:
$36,900 median average
wage to $66,530
Education: Some schools offer training in
therapy for teachers who have already completed YTT. They should at least go to
other training within a minimum of 500 hours of instruction. You have to study
small- business owner ship, anatomy, or physiology through local community colleges.
Reflection: I wouldn't like to be a yoga
therapist because you have to train a lot and for a long time. Also I’m not
really interested in being a Yoga Therapist.
