Diagnostic Radiologist
Duties and
Responsibilities: As a Radiologist you’ll examine various types
of images including x-rays, computers tomography (CT) scans mammograms,
ultrasounds, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans. You might operate the
machinery used to collect these images, though this task is often delegated to
radiology technologist.
Salary: $57,000
Education: Your training begins with the
completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program. You’ll then need to
complete four years at an accredited medical school to earn a Doctor of
medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree. You will also need to pass licensing
exams and complete four years of residency training in radiology.
Reflection: I wouldn't like to be a radiologist because
you’ll have to deal with all those technology and it could be struggle if you don’t
get what the person has while they’re in the machine, also there will be a lot of
technology to look at and to be working with.
